Lynn H. Maxson I have been an OS/2 user since its introduction by IBM. My computer use today remains OS/2 whenever possible (99.999%). I'm a founding member of SCOUG and currently on its board of directors. I am the leader of the SCOUG Sundial SIG. I believe in an OS/2 community as little dependent upon outside support as possible, i.e. self-sufficient. It is the lack of such support when IBM created a vacuum with OS/2 that put us into a downspin unnecessarily. The truth is that the people resources within the OS/2 community are awesome relative to either Windows or Linux. It's that same resource pulling together that will allow OS/2 to continue and prosper into the future. I'm willing to let VOICE take the lead in creating a viable (and recognizable) OS/2 community. I think WarpDoctor is such a means. I believe that we can use it as a lightning rod to not only attract existing members, but in fact to expand the OS/2 community. I'm willing to devote both the time and energy to that end. Walter Metcalf I hereby nominate Walter Metcalf, described below, for the position of President of V.O.I.C.E. Walter Metcalf has worked at the University of British Columbia, the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., and NCR Canada. Most recently, Metcalf has excercised a latent writing interest and spent a three-year stint at About.com, the Human Internet, as their OS/2 Guide.
