MAMERun Beta 8
MAMERun is an OS/2 PM frontend for the DOS version of MAME. Several fixes and
updates in this version. Requires Rexx, Rexxutil, E editor.

Curl is a tool for getting a file using URL syntax.
It supports HTTP, FTP, DICT, TELNET, HTTPS, LDAP(*), FILE and GOPHER as well
as HTTP-post, HTTP-put, cookies, FTP upload, passwords, portnumbers and proxies.
(*) - These features are not supported by this port yet.

There is now a mailing list for discussion of the OS/2 Netlabs. Netlabs is a
web site which hosts a community of open-source OS/2 developers and their projects.
This mailing list is NOT for discussion of any particular Netlabs project. It's
for talking about Netlabs itself, including reporting problems and making suggestions.
The mailing list is hosted on Yahoo Groups (formerly eGroups) and is called os2-netlabs.

OS/2 SWC Announcement
A marketing issue for eCS is the "eCS or SWC" thing. I've been working
with IBM to get a more forthcoming view of what SWC holds for users this year. Today
the item is posted (though it is dated Jan 25).
You can go to http://www-4.ibm.com/software/os/warp/swchoice/
and put your cursor over "News" .. and read the "Our intent is to
deliver the following features in 2001:" statement. It's brief document with
one line relevant to the OS/2 client.
That line is: New OS/2 browser based on the Mozilla open source.
This information will help users determine the relative value of eCS and SWC,
and the eCS Upgrade Protection Program.

RIPLing Windows Millennium from OS/2 Warp Server

curl v7.6.0 is out
curl is a tool for transferring files using URL syntax. It supports HTTP, FTP,
DICT, TELNET, HTTPS, LDAP, FILE and GOPHER as well as HTTP-post, HTTP-put, cookies,
FTP upload, resumed transfers, passwords, portnumbers, SSL certificates, kerberos
and proxies. curl is powered by libcurl, the multiprotocol portable file transfer
library for URL syntax.
Note: LDAP and HTTPS features not supported by this port ...
