Java Movie Database V0.99 beta 2 (HOTFIX!)

English:

======

The Java Movie Database (JMDB) is a Java program which stores the Data from the IMDB Text files (Internet Movie Database) in several MySQL Tables. After you have imported the data, you can search for actors, movies, producers and actors. About the movies and people some details are shown. For more details look at the JMDB-Homepage!

There was a serious bug, so we had to make this new version available. Sorry if you had problems with converting the IMDb files. As bonus we added another nice (and working ;)) feature to the new release.

If you have not yet converted the IMDb files, you should really use the "JMDB-JavaDebug" Icon (you should disable "close on exit" in the settings of the program icon) or the startos2debug.cmd. There are displayed some infos whats going on!

After you converted the data you can switch to the "normal version".

New in this Hotfix release:

==================

* (*) fixed serious bug that prevents converter from converting the actors/actresses (hang)

* (+) import compressed (*.list.gz) or decompressed (*.list) IMDb files

ERACC OS/2 and eCS pricing page updated ...

Hello Everyone,

This is an addendum to my message sent on 04-09-2002.

I finished updating and uploading the OS/2 and eComStation (eCS) pricing on our store site. I cleaned up the layout a bit to make the items easier to distinguish. It now has pricing for OS/2 Software Choice. I have to "Special Order" the Software Choice items so if anyone needs to order those please be aware there may be a significant delay between placing an order and receiving delivery. Please take a look around the rest of the site and feel free to e-mail me with suggestions or comments.

Thanks to all of you who have stopped by to see our site!

The store site is off our main page's main menu:

http://eracc.hypermart.net/

From there choose the "ERACC's Online Store" URL and then the "Operating System Sales" URL from the main store page. We do not yet have online order capability but that will change in the near future. Another issue is the site has pop-up ads that are not under our control yet as we are still using the "free" hosting until we see if the online store is going to be feasible for us. Happily if you use Warpzilla the pop-ups can be disabled.

If you are in the market for eCS in the United States please check our site and/or contact ERACC for a quote.

Thanks,
Gene Alexander

ERACC eCS Pricing now up ...

Hello All,

I finally got eComStation (eCS) pricing up on our store site.

The same page will have OS/2 Warp 4 pricing as soon as I can find a good distributor for OS/2 Warp. Unfortunately the distributors I use rarely have OS/2 in stock.

Thanks,
Gene Alexander

AiR-BOOT v0.28 pre-release Linux tester needed

Well, I was away for some weeks. I just included Linux Kernel FAT-16 support into the latest pre-release version of AiR-BOOT.

It's working as far as I can tell on my computer(s), but I don't have Linux actually installed. I just have some kernels to mess around. So if someone has Linux and is willing to try out this pre-release, PLEASE contact me.

Previously raw kernel partitions were supported. Now this changed. AiR-BOOT is able to load kernels from a FAT-16 partition and they will get included on-the-fly into Bootmenu. My FAT-16 support is able to handle up to 4 GB (!) FAT-16 partitions (64k clusters). I can't actually test that feature because I don't have Windoze NT and I only got some 2 GB FAT partitions.

As soon as that feature gets tested, I will finally release v0.28b. Afterwards I will continue my work on Virtual Soundblaster driver (that one got delayed as well).
