 DFSee version 5.25 released
Assignment and display of driveletters in DFSee has been enhanced to show
LVM-driveletters if different from the 'actual' ones used by the operating
system at that point. To accomodate this, the 2nd column of the
driveletters that is normally a ':' will show the lowercase 'prefered' LVM
driveletter when appropriate. As an example: "Fc" displayed by DFSee would
be actual drive F: that LVM would like to see as "C:" but got 'bumped' to
F:, perhaps because duplicates exist. (LVM.EXE would show this as "C->F:")
The query command introduced in 5.24 is now even more accessible since
"DFSOS2 /QUERY" or "dfsos2 -query" have been added. Or, even simpler, use
the new DFSQUERY.BAT or DFSQUERY.CMD!
DFSee is the SWISS-ARMY-KNIFE for disk and filesystem problems. With
FDISK-like displays, analysis and recovery, FIX commands, UNDELETE for
HPFS/NTFS, imaging and cloning. More details at:

Most important functional changes: Check DFS*.TXT files for details, all changes listed in DFSHIST.TXT Registering DFSee will give you the right to use all 5.xx versions and get
support plus a reasonable amount of assistance by email. Existing 4.xx
registrations can be upgraded to 5.xx as well. But even more important, it enables further development of DFSee! Regards, Jan van Wijk UNIAUD/2 sound driver under development by os2.kiev.ua http://os2.kiev.ua/en/news.php 05.08.2003 - Uniaud/2 project

so it's not mentioned there. Note the change to language files (see below) NewView is a free replacement for the original OS/2 or eComStation online
help system. New mailing list: Building an OS/2 Replacement I have created a new Yahoo group, OS2TCS-DOC, whose purpose is stated as
follows: The purpose of this group is to prepare detailed documentation for a
follow-on to OS/2, to be designed and implemented to meet the
requirements of the Department of Defense Trusted Computer System
Evaluation Criteria. Other OS2TCS-xxx groups will be established in the future as the need
arises. This group has been marked private, and all memberships must be approved
by the moderator (i.e., "me"). If you are interested in participating, and are willing to put in the time
and effort, I believe that we can create a technical specification from
which a follow-on to OS/2 can be crafted. This is not a project for the faint of heart, nor for the easily
discouraged. For those of you who are up to the task, welcome ! It is not "launcher" for WV CLI, but includes latest WV CLI features In
future, these sparated projects will be combined in one Innotek Font engine use may be possible in other apps I had posted a question on InnoTek's support board http://ubb.innotek.de/ultimatebb.php asking for info on how to use their
anti-aliased font engine with other applications ... Achim Hasenmueller of
InnoTek responded with the following info: "Our engine is 100% API compatible with PMGPI. All you have to do is
import from FTGPI.DLL instead of PMGPI.DLL. Note that it will not work
most likely as we have not tested anything besides Mozilla. Also, we will
most likely not provide any support -- maybe on a best effort basis if
the problem reports are meaningful and precise ..." Anyway, I figured the more people who know this the better chance someone
might try it and get it working. Firebird v0.6.1 It would appear that an updated MozillaFirebird [Moderator note: This is
the web browser only project] is up: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/releases/0.6.1/contrib/MozillaFirebird-0.6.1-os2.zip Hopefully this will address problems with coexistance with Thunderbird.
