The extremely reliable German magazine, OS/2 Inside, reports in their
April 1998 edition, p. 34, that there is a beta version of a VDM
(Virtual DOS Machine) capable of completely emulating a PC. More that
just a jazzed-up DOS box, they have booted Linux, NT (needs a patch,
since ctrl+alt+del reboots OS/2 normally and this keystroke is needed
for logon under NT) and as well OS/2 -- meaning that they have booted
Warp 3 under Warp 4.
This is frankly amazing and the source is exceptionally reliable. The
beta has reportedly been written in Austin and is called VDM-32 or
WOW (=Wide Open Warp) and is code-named kangaroo.
