word2html

Version Sep2-98

word2html (word-to-html) is a program that converts 
Microsoft Word 6+ (version 6 or later) documents (.DOC) to 
HTML.

It runs on OS/2 and MS-DOS/Windows.
The OS/2 version requires the emx runtime emx.dll. 
The DOS version requires the emx runtime emx.exe or 
rsx.exe. word2html is Free software. Src incl. 

The latest OS/2-DOS version is Sep2-98. 
It is functionally equivalent to version M1 which may be 
available at other servers (M1 includes the emx runtime 
DLL). It is the first version I did.

Laola/Elser

Laola is a Perl library to read OLE files.

Elser is a program that actually was designed to convert 
Word documents easily to HTML documents. Anyway, this is a 
pretty difficult task. So the current release of Elser does 
many things, except such a conversion. Assume to see a very 
first result done on the way to understand Word and then to
convert it.

Laola/Elser requires the Perl programming language to be 
installed.
