*** FEATURE PRESENTATION ***
- - BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER: SESSION 1 of 2 - -
Have you ever thought about building your own computer --
not just to run OS/2, but any of today's systems.
At the September meeting, several options will be presented
for motherboards, memory, hard drives, and all other
components, as well as purchasing and system compatibility
considerations.
We'll build the computers in October. Folks wishing to
participate (limit of 16) must purchase their hardware
prior to the October meeting. Expert help and guidance will
be available.
Come to the September/October meetings even if you don't
want to build one at this time. We encourage you to come to
the meetings, ask all the questions you want, look over
someone's shoulder, and get valuable vicarious experience.
Please see our web site at http://www.phillyos2.org for
additional details of this event which will be posted prior
to the meeting.
Other agenda items include a Q&A session, OS/2 news & new
product announcements, SIG business matters, software
raffle (subject to availability), etc. An OS/2 system will
also be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as
time may permit. Our customary free light refreshments will
also be available.
Driving directions to Episcopal Academy, September meeting
agenda and other useful information about the OS/2 SIG
activities may be found on our web site at
