Stardock Releases Entrepreneur 1.5

Canton MI Stardock has released a major update to its 
popular real time strategy game, Entrepreneur today. The 
new version improves upon the graphics and adds some new 
features to aid users in their strategies.

"One suggestion we've received from users is that it can be 
difficult sometimes to understand why a competitor is 
winning in a given part of the world. So we added a new 
sales analysis mode which will in plain English explain why 
a competitor is winning there." Said Brad Wardell, Stardock 
Systems, Inc.

Entrepreneur is a strategy game in which players must build 
their own corporate empire. Loosely inspired by a 
combination of the classic games MULE and Lords of 
Conquest, players must choose a world to monopolize and a 
market to dominate. By researching new technologies, 
creating marketing campaigns, and increasing their 
manufacturing might, players compete against other would-be 
monopolies in a battle for world economic domination. The 
game is won when a company achieves a dominating amount of 
the world's marketshare (usually around 2/3's).

The game not onlys ports a very challengin computer AI for 
single player play, but multiplayer features as well. In 
fact, the game comes with a built in free on-line gaming 
service called Stardock.Net which allows players to find 
others to play on the Internet. And unlike most internet 
games, Entrepreneur's multiplayer features are very 
reliable as gameplay remains smooth even in high latency 
environments.

The game has received universal praise in reviews and is a 
popular item amongst strategy gamers because of its fresh 
use of the real time genre. Players can formulate 
strategies in their own time without feeling like they're 
being rushed but are kept busy by the constant changes in 
the game environment.

Another reason the game has maintained a high popularity 
amongst gamers is because of the continuing succession of 
free updates from Stardock.

Despite the vast improvements, the original 1.0 version of 
Entrepreneur received very favorable reviews from Computer 
Gaming World, Strategy Plus, and PC Gamer. 

Stardock has also released a demo of Entrepreneur which is 
at the 1.5 level. It is available at 
http://www.stardock.com. Now players will be able to test 
drive Entrepreneur and see for themselves whether the game 
is worth getting. The demo version has been especially 
designed for Internet users allowing them to play the game 
with only a 5 megabyte download with links to download the 
multimedia files later if they choose to.

Entrepreneur is still available at some stores but you can 
now get it directly from Stardock at 
http://www.stardock.com for only $29.95. Stardock has 
created a commerce server in which users can enter in their 
credit card number on a secure transaction server and allow 
users to download the full version right away. Users can

version of Entrepreneur as well.

Entrepreneur will run on any Pentium level system or better 
that is running Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 98, or even 
OS/2 Warp.
