Boca Raton, Florida  Solution Technology, Inc. (STi) has been awarded 
a contract by the Upstate Medicare Division of Blue Cross Blue Shield 
of Western New York (UMD) to replace a non Year 2000 (Y2K)compliant 
DOS/Windows/NetWare imaging system with a fully Year 2000 compliant 
OS/2 based imaging system.

Solution Technology will be delivering the award winning Image Edition
for OS/2 to be hosted on a quad processor OS/2 Warp Server.  OS/2 
Warp clients will be on user workstations. STi's solution will preserve 
UMD's existing investment in scanners and optical jukebox through 
enhancements to be installed in Q1 1999.  Image Edition supports high 
speed scanning with their existing Fujitsu scanners through STi's TWAIN 
for OS/2 drivers.  Additionally, Image Edition is being enhanced to 
permit hosting Image Edition's optical indexing databases on IBM's DB2 
Universal Database (UDB).  This will permit UMD to directly access 
imaging information from other applications. Finally STi is crafting a 
migration/reuse strategy to be able to use already imaged data from 
the existing non-Y2K system without requiring rescanning. The new 
system is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the first 
quarter of 1999.

requirements for our solution," said Roger Perkins, Team Leader, Systems 
Programming for UMD.

existing hardware investments and to provide a complete OS/2 and Y2K 
compliant solution within the time frame they requested." said Kent Swan,
