The date on the Matrox web site is misleading, as the files in the
2.36 driver zip archive are actually older than 3-12-1999. The newest
files are dated 11-18-1999. The archive itself is dated 3-12-1999.

Here are the contents of the 2.36 driver archive, with dates (extra
info snipped to prevent wrapping:

I've been using the drivers for several weeks with a Millennium II
AGP at 1280x1024x32, and have encountered no problems.
