To All OS/2 Developers--

My name is Beverly Hoppe, IT Recruiter for Modis, Inc., a 1.7 billion consulting firm located nation and world-wide. I am attempting to find an OS/2 developer for a Fortune 500 corporation, located in Cambridge, MA. I have been having an extremely difficult time digging up a candidate. That is why I've started posting on various OS/2 boards. The regular job boards aren't working!

I apologize for anyone offended by my posting. I know some don't like recruiters, but I'm really not that bad! Below is the description of the position. If anyone has information regarding my request please e-mail me ASAP.

The candidate would be developing a database for a private financial corporation. The project consists of building graphical user interface on OS/2, and developing in OS/2. Requirements include: Win32, C++ development on OS/2 and GUI interface. This is a 3+month project, and our client offers a casual environment with a flexible work schedule.

The position requires:
Strong C (5+ years) with OS/2
Person must be prepared to work with minimum direction (need a senior person).
Following skills will be a plus:
Foreign Exchange or Banking experience will be a plus.
The client is one of the leading real time electronic brokerage companies for foreign exchange that allows inter-bank foreign exchange trades.All the components run on VAX/VMS with exception of the workstations. The workstations reside on OS/2 machines.

We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our Development group as junior to senior level Artists.

Job responsibilities include:

Provide storyboard art and graphics support to department; OR work on game projects directing game artwork and styles; OR produce games which include directing art team on screen graphics, glass art, etc.

Develop characters and logos and reel symbols for our games.

Develop screen layouts and interfaces for conceptual storyboards for game screens.

Job requirements include:

At a minimum, traditional art skills including drawing, composition, graphic design, logo design, and color theory.

Ability to produce artwork in a timely manner with top quality craftsmanship.

Software skills; proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Promotion-2D animation and compositing, Debabilizer- creating custom palettes, 3D software- 3DSMax or Lightwave.

Familiarity with OS2 platform capabilities and restrictions including solid understanding of the graphics and programming implementation process.

Strong character and graphic design skills and strong storyboarding techniques.

Knowledge of current art styles and trends.

Knowledge of gaming industry helpful.

Ability to communicate and work well with other departments.
