Hi all,

After I got obligatory commitments about more than 1000 EUR for the
donation of a ThinkPad T60 to the GenMAC-developer Willibald, I'm very
optimistic to get the rest of the needed amount quite soon too!

So I begin to collect the money from everybody who wrote me an e-mail now,
I will inform you about the actual status on http://www.os2.org !

For people within the EU the easiest way to donate is a bank transfer, for
detailed informations I send an e-mail, for all others or for people who
don't like paying with banktransfer, there is now the possibility to pay
via Mensys.nl!

Please contact me via genmac AT godawa DOT de for more details if you did
not received an e-mail from me in case like to use this payment method.

If you would like to participate too please write me an e-mail with the
amount you wish to donate to genmac AT godawa DOT de, I'll send you more
informations directly!

Thanks a lot for your support,

SW: Preliminary build of Gnash

2007-04-03
++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: Paul Smedley

Hi All,

I just got Gnash compiling and had to announce it :)

http://download.smedley.info/gnash-cvs20070403-os2.zip

Details on Gnash, http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/

Gnash is a GNU Flash movie player. Previously, it was only possible to play
flash movies with proprietary software. While there are some other free
flash players, none support anything beyond SWF v4. Gnash is based on
GameSWF, and supports many SWF v7 features.

No firefox plugin yet, and hardly any testing other than several of the
samples included in the Gnash CVS repository work, and Joachim reports that
the eComStation tour works :)

Cheers,

Paul.

SW: "GetTYPO3v4forOS2" v2.09 released

2007-04-06
++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: Roland Schmalenberg

Hi folks,

I got asked to announce new versions of my scripts for getting TYPO3 to run
on base of OS/2 or eComStation, known as "TYPO3 goes eComStation". Yes,
I'll do that from now on ...

What is TYPO3?
--------------
For those people not knowing TYPO3 yet it should be mentioned that TYPO3 is
a free Open Source Web Content Management System, released under GPL. More
informations can be found at http://typo3.com or for developers at
http://typo3.org

Last changes
------------
The TYPO3-team launched TYPO3 version 4.1.1 and 4.0.6 with some minor fixes
around rich text editing (rtehtmlarea) under Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Wednesday.
I've got the time to install the changes to my scripts yesterday and have
finished the tests.

Where to get, what to need?
---------------------------
You are able to download the script package from the home of "TYPO3 goes
eComStation", http://os4you.org/typo3goesecomstation.html
All you need to run is a working OAMP (OS/2 + Apache + MySQL + PHP), my
package and time to study ;-)

Yours sincerly
Roland Schmalenberg
