SW: FM/2 3.7.0 Release uploaded to Hobbes and Netlabs

2007-09-01
++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: David Graser

FileManager/2 (FM/2) is a freeware OS/2 (warp)/ eCS PM 32-bit
file/directory/archive maintenance utility (a sort of super-Drives object,
something midway between the Drives objects and a more traditional file
manager) with plenty of bells, whistles and utilities, drag and drop,
context menus, toolbars and accelerator keys.

Make sure you backup your fm3.ini before installing. The new ini file won't
work with older versions.

It can be found on Hobbes or Netlabs:

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?sh=1&button=Search&key=fm2-3-7-0

ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/fm2-3-7-0.wpi
moving to
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/fm2/fm2-3-7-0.wpi

It source files and ticketed items can be found at

http://svn.netlabs.org/fm2

It has a support group at

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/fm2user/

The utilities aren't included in this package. If you installed version
3.5.9 with the utilities, it is not necessary to install them again. If you
don't have the utilities installed, download 3.5.9 from Hobbes and extract
the utilities wpi and put it in the same directory as your 3.7.0 build and
run the 3.7.0 install. It will then give you the option of installing the
utilities along with build 3.7.0.

If you are a programmer and always wanted a feature added, but did not have
the build environment, this should no longer be the case since the source
now builds with Open Watcom. Source files can be obtained from

http://svn.netlabs.org/fm2

SW: DOSBox 0.72 has been released!

2007-09-05
++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: Mark Dodel

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net

"Sunday, August 26th, 2007 - Qbix
DOSBox 0.72 has been released!

This release fixes a few bugs that slipped through when releasing 0.71.
Here a list of the changes:

* Fixed unitialized variable in joystick. (Fixes crashes on Vista and
Mac OS X)
* Some bugfixes and speedups to the 64 bit recompiling core.
* Fixed sign flag on soundblaster dma transfers (Space Quest 6 intro)
* Fixed a bug in keyboard layout processing code and fixed certain
layouts.
* Fixed Dreamweb.
* Improved speed unlocking when running cycles=max.
* Fixed a crash related to the tab completion in the shell.
* Improved aspect correction code. Should now be like how a real
monitor handles it.
* Fixed a bug in the xms status report code. (Blake Stone 1.0 shareware)
* Added a lot more keyboard layouts.
* Fixed crash related to changing the scaler before a screen was created.
* Hopefully fixed compilation on *bsd.
* Enabled auto cpu core selection for recompiling core as well.
* Made the used joystick selectable when 4axis is specified.
* Added some hints for inexperienced DOS users to the shell.

Compatibility should be same as 0.71 and 0.70 aside from the game specific
fixes."

over, thanks a lot to everyone who suported netlabs.org during that time!
